Örvangur - A self-contained, cost-effective CTF platform. Creating a framework for Infrastructure, submissions, supporting services and composition of training materials.
Project Goals:
Aid in the training of software developers
Aid in the training of youth (GGFÍ, ECSC)
Approach:
The platform was built on top of mostly open source software, OSS an utilizes few external services: CTFs for less than $10 per month. Over 50 challenges created. The platform has been released: https://github.com/ambagasec/orvangur
Lessons learned:
Highly effective way for cyber security training of software developers. Used for training and open challenges by Ambaga. Used for national competition by GGFÍ.
